Advanced
Routing
The Quick Tips assumed you were starting
at your GPS location. All of the Other
Route choices will also allow you to specify a starting
point as well as a destination. The starting point is selected
identically to the way the destination is selected.
If the route doesn't go the way you want
you can enter one or more vias to control the route. The
router will reroute using your vias to control the roads
it chooses. A via is selected by tapping on a road segment.
Then tap and hold on the box that appears. Select Route
Through to identify the via. You can find the road segment
by any means you wish such as scrolling the map, using any
of the find options, or scrolling through the route description
and tapping on the turns.
You can save any route you generate so
that you can reuse it later.
You can reverse the previous route as
a quick way to return back to your starting point.
On any of the route screens you will see
the origin command. You can use this item to make the within
25 miles menu choice mean within 25 miles of anywhere
you wish, not just the current GPS location.
