WayPoint 200 Testimonials
 |
My partner an I recently returned from a tour of the Pacific North West
accompanied by the WayPoint 100. Although I had fears about getting lost in the
unfamiliar region, thanks to our WayPoint, we covered 2500 miles without a
problem.
In addition to saving us countless hours of navigation time, the WayPoint
effortlessly guided us to coffee shops, restaurants, and any other location we
could think of. When we needed gas, it only took a matters of seconds to find
the nearest station. When we arrived in a new city we were instantly at the
doorstep of our hotel.
I can't thank you enough for turning our complicated trip into a fun and stress
free adventure. I don't know how I was ever able to travel without a GPS. The
WayPoint is the best investment I've made in a long time.
Thanks Mobile Crossing!

Anyone who owns a RV should own a WayPoint 200. We purchased ours before a
recent trip and it guided us flawlessly from campground to campground. The map
detail is incredible as well as accurate. If you have ever towed a large RV
through an unfamiliar metropolitan area you will know how nerve wrecking it can
be trying to read road signs and move in busy traffic.
The WayPoint 200 with its clear detail and voice directions let me focus on
driving and not getting lost! The Pocket PC was great for tracking our expenses
and back at work I use it to sync with Outlook for my email, contacts and
calender. Thank you for getting it right with a top notch GPS system that
doesn't sit around when we are not on the road.

I have been looking for an affordable PDA/GPS after I broke my garmin M5. After
a lot of search I came across mobilecrossing waypoint 100 and from the reviews
liked it. So, bought one and the package arrived shortly before I was going to
drive to NewYork city. Earlier whenever I drove to NY, I always got lost and
that's my main reason to have a GPS. Installation was a breeze, took about 30
minutes to download maps and install in car and about 10-15 minutes to get the
initial GPS fix. On my entire route from Philadelphia to NY I never lost the
fix and the directions were just accurate. Best thing about this one is I
bought it with all US map and downloaded them to a SD card. the system was
pretty responsive even after I opened two regions and the US longhaul map. It
did give me a different route than the one I used to take. While going to NY, I
ignored it and took my usual route. Waypoint almost instantly rerouted me and
gave me the route I planned to take. On coming back, I decided to follow the
waypoint and to my surprise, I saved about half an hr following the new route!
I do absolutely love this unit. However, I have one gripe. The latches on the
battery cover are too thin and will break very easily if you are not very
carefull while puting it back.
As a PDA it serves its purpose well also and with an 6Gb CF card, I'm carrying
all my music with me where ever I'm going. Its definitely a very good product
compared to the price.

When my fiancé moved to Chicago, I decided that a GPS system was just the thing
to keep her safe in an unfamiliar setting. I also wanted something that could
multi-task, so it didn't make sense to purchase one of those stand alone units
because of their limited functionality. The WayPoint 200 exceeded my
expectations as a device that served both practical and entertainment purposes.
It functions as our GPS navigator & MP3 player in the car, gaming unit when
we're relaxing, portable web browser at home, and my personal organizer for
work.
The thing that excites me is that we've barely scratched the surface of what
this device can be used for! Next stop for the GPS: Honeymoon in Hawaii -
thanks to the new National Edition. I thought I was satisfied when I first
purchased the WayPoint, but now it seems like the benefits I receive from
owning one just get better and better... Thanks for this great product!

I purchased my WayPoint 200 this November and I'm really enjoying using it.
Starting out with laptop GPS units mounted in the trunk of my Harley or on a
stand in my van were cumbersome & took up too much space. Also, I've
used Co-Pilot, Navman SE, and Garman, & the clarity of the maps &
capabilities of the WayPoint 200 are by far the best. The versatility of the
mounting units enable me to utilize my WayPoint 200 in my van or on my Harley.
When we go out on my Harley we never know quite where we will end up and having
the WayPoint 200 unit has helped us and other people find our way.
My experience with the Mobile Crossing technical support was excellent, they
answer phone calls and e-mails right away. Just can't wait for springtime now
to ride out on our next adventure with the WayPoint 200. Thanks and keep the
great products coming our way.

I've been using my way point for about 3 weeks now and wow what an improvement
from my previous unit. I am a heavy duty towing supervisor in the Chicago land
area. Our business is based on an hourly rate so most of our customers would
not appreciate a bill for an extra hour or so of service due to the fact I was
lost. We also do emergency recovery for the state police on I-80 we have a 20
to 30 minute response time the reroute option for heave traffic saved me last
week since I entered the highway too soon and was caught in traffic from the
accident I was responding to I just took the next exit and it routed me around
and put me back on right where I needed to be. The way point is awesome took
very little time to learn. Customer service and tech support make you feel as
if you are calling a friend. If they don't have an answer they take the time to
find it and respond immediately or even call you back when they find it. I
flippin love it.

I purchased a Waypoint 200 about 2 months ago and want to tell you how pleased I
am with the device. I cannot tell you how much your product has helped me out
since I purchased it. I'm a regional manager who covers 7 states in the
Northeast and the unit has successfully guided me through NYC, Boston, etc.
flawlessly. I also want to give credit to your Tech dept who in no small
measure has guided me through the learning curve with this unit. I am
"technologically challenged" and on many occasions he has spent a lot of time
on the phone with me courteously and patiently helping me to understand the
unit.

I am a School Bus Driver. I recently bought the Waypoint 200. As you can see I
have it hooked up in my bus. It works great. I am able to map various routes
with times and waypoints for the other drivers too.

I recently went on a family vacation to
NYC and Boston. I am not very tech savvy so I did not put much stock into using
a WayPoint GPS in our rental car to get around. I was much more likely to get
directions from someone and then use the WayPoint as a back-up. Boy was I
wrong. Using the hotel's directions from JFK to Long Island at night, we got so
lost & ended up crossing the Bronx WhiteStone Bridge twice! I finally
resorted to using the WayPoint which got me to the hotel without delay.
The interface is really easy to learn and very intuitive. From then on, I
trusted it completely and it never let me down. All through NYC's one way and
construction-ridden streets, I never got lost and it quickly got me out of some
nasty traffic back-ups. Using the WayPoint to drive from Long Island to Boston
was a breeze. I've never been on a road trip without a map and a navigator in
the passenger's seat.
The feature that let me find parks and restaurants was especially useful since
I had my 2 toddlers with me and they needed frequent pit stops. I'll never
travel without it again.

I have had my waypoint for almost 1 month. I love this product. I have already
traveled 4500 miles with no problem. You see I'm a National and International
Installer for a Major Computer Company and in the last six months I have driven
almost 47,000 miles so a product like this has been a life saver for the last
month. I have enjoyed having a navigator to take care of reading the map and
telling me when to turn while I'm on a trip. This has made traveling easier
thank you again for creating this product. Other members on my team have the
other products on the market that have GPS features and most of the time it
takes them through undesirable areas of travel.
My waypoint has always taken me on safe trips. If I have my way my whole team
will soon be switching over to waypoint. Thanks again...

I use my Waypoint everyday. Not only does it help me get to where I am going
with the Nav software, it does a ton of other things. I keep all my equipment
records in excel. It makes for less work when I get home. I also use it with
Farm Works software to map fields and display georeferenced aerial imagery of
our farm. It really helps to be able to use the Waypoint with its GPS to
navigate to a particular area in the field to check for troubled spots. It is
very convenient because it enables me to check my email when I am away from my
desk. When you combine a Bluetooth phone with the Waypoint 200 you can quickly
check email or browse the internet with the built in software. I really enjoy
my Waypoint.
A big thanks to Mobile Crossing for releasing such a great product.

I have been using the WayPoint 200 for about a year now, and I love it. I
had a Garmin GPS V before this, and it is not as flexible, quick, or powerful
as the Mobile Crossing product. Also, I really like the responsiveness of
the support team at Mobile Crossing. The product has been updated several
times with new software, maps, and features - and that keeps it fresh and
competitive with new products that appear on the market. I began testing
the WayPoint 200 with a Beta, bought it soon after, and have been a fan ever
since. Thank you Mobile Crossing!

Using Mobile Crossing GPS has changed my driving experience. I live in Los
Angeles and drive long distances. With my GPS set up I can detour whenever
traffic is too heavy and never get lost. I especially like to use the detour
fuction by quickly pressing the first button and choosing the length of my
desired detour.
I also will change the settings on the routing options if I want to take side
streets and avoid the highways. This is the best GPS product I have used.
